About Ryan
Ryan is an award winning cinematographer, camera operator, and director based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
From a very young age, writing short stories and shooting short films with his friends, Ryan has always had an innate passion for filmmaking. His experience as Director and Director of Photography includes short and feature length narrative and documentary films, national and global commercial campaigns, fashion projects, and music videos. However his true passion lies in narrative storytelling.
Ryan’s work has received recognition from film festivals, international short film competitions, and his growing online audience.
Ryan’s approach to cinematography is that every frame must be intentional and powerful enough to evoke an emotion in the audience. The lighting, composition, color, and movement should all serve the story.
